Praseodymium Phosphate

It can exist in anhydrous or hydrated form, with Pr3+ ions exhibiting a characteristic green color, making praseodymium phosphate mostly green crystals or powder. It typically has a monoclinic structure (monoclinic crystal system), similar to natural monazite minerals (mainly containing rare earth elements such as Ce and La). Some rare earth phosphates may have a pyrochroite-type structure (tetragonal crystal system), but due to the larger radius of praseodymium ions, they tend more towards the monoclinic structure.

Fluorescent materials: The luminescent properties of Pr³⁺ can be used to prepare luminescent materials by doping.

Ceramics and glass: as additives to improve material properties (such as refractive index, heat resistance).

Catalyst: Rare earth phosphate may act as a carrier or active component in catalytic reactions.

Nuclear waste solidification: The structure of solitary stone has high stability to radioactive elements and is used in nuclear waste treatment research.
