Lacen Rare Earth Technology Co., Ltd. was founded by the scientific team from Xiamen Rare Earth Materials Research Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences and located in the New Materials Industrial Park of Xiamen CAS Incubation Center. Focusing on high-value rare earth utilization, the company devotes itself to the R&D, production and sales of high-efficiency rare earth functional additives, and adheres to the concepts of scientific innovation and green environmental protection to continuously develop high-performance new materials and meet market and customer demands.

 

The company’s technical leader is Researcher Song Lijun, holder of a PhD in Innovative Materials Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology. He serves as Director of the Support Center and Research Group Leader at the Xiamen Rare Earth Materials Research Center, Haixi Institute, CAS, doctoral supervisor, and former Director of Baotou Rare Earth R&D Center, CAS. He is listed in Xiamen’s sixth batch of high-level leading entrepreneurial talents under the "Double Hundred Plan". His research focuses on rare earth functional and new energy materials. He has led over 40 provincial, ministerial and municipal scientific research projects, published more than 50 SCI papers and obtained over 20 authorized patents.

 

The cooperative unit is Xiamen Rare Earth Materials Research Institute under the Haixi Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, jointly established by the institute and Xiamen Municipal Government. It conducts research on rare earth clean production, environmental remediation, nano-biotherapy, energy storage, functional materials, luminescent materials, separation and purification, catalytic materials, functional additives and special alloys, with a team of 2 academicians, 16 senior talents, 19 deputy senior talents and over 100 core researchers.

The cooperating team is led by Researcher Song Lijun, including 1 senior, 5 deputy senior, 2 intermediate professionals and 15 graduate students. Focused on high-value rare earth utilization and industrial achievement transformation, the team takes advantage of rare earth’s unique 4f electronic configuration to develop new rare earth functional compounds and oxides, endow polymer composites with superior properties, expand application fields, and boost the industrial development and upgrading of functional materials.
