(1) Catalyst and catalytic carrier, automobile exhaust purification, cerium (Ce) oxygen storage capacity (OSC) can adjust the oxygen content in the exhaust gas, used in three-way catalyst (TWC), to promote the conversion of CO, HC and NOₓ; oxidation reaction catalyst, catalytic dehydrogenation of alkanes, CO oxidation and other reactions in petrochemical industry.
(2) Fluorescence and luminescent materials: After doping rare earth ions such as Eu³⁺ and Tb³⁺, they can emit fluorescence of specific wavelengths (such as CePO₄:Tb³⁺ emitting green light), which is used in LED and display backlight.
